Before you send crypto, check the network — not just the coin.

A crypto deposit is a transfer between two systems with their own supported assets and networks. A coin name alone does not tell you that the sending wallet and receiving cashier are using the same route.

Stake’s deposit help page warns that unsupported coins or the wrong network will not be credited. It also explains that some deposits require a tag or memo as well as an address. Its examples include XRP and EOS.

A checklist before the transfer

Open the casino’s current deposit screen and read the chosen asset and network together. Then compare that network with the option selected in the sending wallet. Use the deposit instructions for that specific asset rather than an address from an old screenshot or another account.

Check whether a memo or tag is required. Check the displayed minimum deposit and any network fee before deciding whether a small test transfer is appropriate. A test below the receiving platform’s minimum can create a different problem instead of answering the original question.

Keep the record you will need

Save the transaction hash, the selected network and the destination details. If a transfer is pending, compare the wallet’s broadcast status with the relevant blockchain record before sending another payment. A delay does not, by itself, mean the first transfer failed.

Our reading

The cheapest displayed network fee is not useful if the receiving platform does not accept that network. Accuracy comes before speed. If the instructions disagree or the supported network is unclear, stop and ask the operator to confirm the route before transferring funds.
